Accordion Reeds
By Wendy Morrison, forwarded

Hi George,

I saw your request for accordion reeds. I spent the good part of a
week trying to get someone to answer my Emails. I did get a nice reply
from one company. The following is the letter they sent me.

> Thanks for your inquiry. Reeds are available in two ways:
>
> A) leathered and tuned: best quality Swedish steel, mounted on
> aluminum plates, leathered and carefully tuned.
>
> B) unleathered, not tuned but pitched to A440: fine quality Swedish
> steel, mounted on medium-hard aluminum plates.
>
> Prices for A (each reed)
>
> $10.30 each for treble reeds, (11.50 for handmade reeds)
> $12.20 for bass reeds. (13.00 for handmade reeds)
>
> Prices for B (each reed)
>
> $6.00 for most treble reeds or piccolo reeds.
> $6.75 for low octave treble and bass harmony reeds
> $8.75 for large bass reeds, lead tip
>
> Please specify pitches, how many of each, which octave (relative to
> middle C on piano keyboard). For best match, send us your old reeds.
>
> We also carry reed leathers, wax, tuning supplies, keyboard parts and
> tools.
>
> Please let me know how I can help you.
