Piano in B-747 Airplane
By Bill Burns

The piano lounge on the 747 did exist -- I remember reading about it at
the time (circa 1968), and a web search turns up this site:

    http://www.algonet.se/~hansj/747/adler5.htm

Here's a partial quote from the site:

"In the U.S.A., the Federal Aviation Administration (the governing
body of aviation) initially denied carrying passengers in the upper
deck area of the 747 due to unacceptable evacuation procedures. The
upper deck then became the premier First class lounge area complete
with a piano and a full wet bar. Finally World Airways proved the
upper deck could be safely used to carry passengers and the "lounge"
  area soon vanished."
