Pianos Transported Aboard Airship
By Bill Maxim

With this we have wandered away from either mechanical music or
instruments for use in travel.

In the early 1970's, a piano teacher in Columbia SC proudly showed me
her Bechstein grand piano, which she said was the first piano flown
into the U.S.

It was imported by Wannamaker (Philadelphia), and not by airplane.
It came on the Hindenburg.
