Seek Rewind Motor for 1960s Kimball Player
By Eric Bergstrom

I am looking for a replacement 120V rewind drive gearmotor for an
early 60's Kimball consolette. It says it's made by Brevel Products
with a number 628B on it. I called Kimball's parts people and of
course they said it's obsolete. No other good leads other than to
cobble up something.

Does anyone out there have one of these lying around looking for a
roll to rewind?

Also, I was wondering whether anyone knows if PVC-E glue and Aileen's
Tacky glue are the same thing? I've got a set of Schultz pouches that
I'm recovering with a rubberized synthetic material (very light --- it
must be the infamous 'Schultz cloth') and I'm scared to use hide glue
on a synthetic material.

One last question: How is the quality of PPCo's pumping bellows cloth
vs. Schaff piano these days? I haven't needed any in a while, so I'm
not sure who has the best quality any more.

Happy Holidays everyone.
