A Sick Time With Quicktime
By Johnny Lite

Robbie et al, I produced MIDI files of freely (unquantized) played
piano solos with a sequencer. They sound good when played back with
the sequencer. But when converted to a Quicktime file, the rhythm
sounds weird.

There seem to be triplets where there were none, and sometimes a
loping rhythm, and/or a jumbling of notes. I've also noticed this
in others' MIDI files posted on the Web. Is this a quantization
problem, or a clock resolution problem with Quicktime? Any way
to fix it?

Thanks,

Johnny Lite

[ Oooh, that's a technology I know nuthin' about. Does it sound
[ better if the MIDI file is quantized to coarse increments?
[ Any Quicktime experts out there to help Johnny? -- Robbie
