FS: Old Technical Books
By Andy LaTorre

I'm still cleaning up and have come across a few books that may
interest readers. The last time I offered books for a fixed price,
there were several disappointed readers -- especially ones whose email
was slower than others. So, I have been struggling with the fairest
method of offering the books and have come up with the following plan:

They will go to the highest bidder (plus postage). The cutoff date
will be next Monday morning, May 10th. At that time I will notify
successful bidders. I feel this method is as fair as I can possibly
get.

1) Heat Engines, Allen & Bursley, 5th ed., McGraw-Hill, 1941, 576
pages, very good condition. Chapters: Heat, Elementary Thermodynamics,
Properties of Steam, Calorimeters, Fuels, Boilers, Steam Engines,
Turbines, Condensers, Compressors & Refrigeration, Internal-Combustion
Engines, etc.

2) Heat-Power Engineering, Barnard, Ellenwood, Hirshfeld, Part 1
Thermodynamics and Prime Movers, John Wiley, 3rd ed., 1926, 493 pages,
very good condition. Chapters: Fundamentals of Energy, History, Modern
Power Plant, Energy Equations, Equilibrium, Entropy, Properties of
Gasses, Compressed Air, Gas Cycles, Efficiency, Internal combustion
Engines, Cycles of Vapor Engines, Reciprocating Steam Engine, etc.

PS: Has anyone noticed the phenomenon that the more things you get
rid of, the more that comes in to replace it? Approximately double!
