Seeburg G and H Orchestrions, as well as just about every other
American-made coin-operated piano with Violin pipes, as well as just
about every American-made A-roll piano with violin pipes, would show
no improvement with European made Violin pipes.

The music rolls are just not arranged to make the pipes sound like a
person playing a violin.  The only American-made piano roll that ever
came close to playing the pipes in a solo manner was the Coinola "O"
roll.  As much as I love this particular roll it still does not touch
the solo arranging efforts of the Europeans such as Weber, Hupfeld,
etc.

The American made coin pianos are what they are.  In our business we
sell synthesizers as well as many other "toys".  When demonstrating
any keyboard you must play the keys in such a manner to show off the
sounds.  You would never play a synthesizer with piano music to demon-
strate the violin sounds or the trumpet or anything other than a piano
sound.

If Dave Junchen were still with us he could arrange some rolls that
would make a Seeburg G Violin pipe sound great and maybe that older guy
in Colorado could do the same.  By the way, there is one known "G" roll
that was made in the twenties that does play the Violin pipes in a solo
manner very nicely.
