Roll Tracking Problem
By Gerry Bay

Hi all... I have searched the archives to see if my problem with "wavy
rolls" can be solved. The archives contain info about the tracker bar
setup and basic roll setup but not how to deal with the paper on a
problem roll.

Here's my problem: My Steinway Duo-Art plays perfectly on almost all
of my rolls. However, I have a few which wander about the tracker bar
and the music drops out occasionally. I've done all the normal things
like tapping the roll on the slotted end, making sure the tube isn't
too long, etc. The rolls in question are just plain warped and crawl
up the sides of the end pieces here and there. So... what do I do?
Throw them out as unrepairable? Iron them? Shower with them? Soak
them in a Gin and Tonic? Drink a Gin and Tonic?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gerry Bay
