In MMD 990504 Alan Whytock asked about the Ampico 'Favorite Fifty'
rolls series.  In the Ampico bulletin of December 1928 there is a
special page with Christmas gift suggestions for Ampico owners.
Among it I read :

" The gold seal library : A special collection of fifty-four recordings,
  melodious, delightful pieces offering music for every taste -- for
  those at home to whom the Ampico should be a daily delight and to
  meet requests of music loving friends. To make them more enjoyable,
  the story is printed on the roll. Price : $ 100.00

" The favorite Twenty-five : A smaller collection (twenty-eight (!!)
  recordings of similar tuneful gems with the story printed on the
  roll.  Price : $ 50.00

" The favorite fifteen : Every piece in this little group is a proven
  favorite. The story printed on the roll increases the pleasure in
  hearing them.  Price : $ 25.00

We may suppose that your Favorite Fifty are the same kind of offer,
maybe for another Christmas.
