Services for Scott Olson, who passed away unexpectedly last Friday,
May 22, l999 will be held in the Grace United Methodist Church,
Missoula, Montana at 2 p.m.

For many of us in the carousel or band organ business, Scott will
be a major loss.  As my mentor and advisor in the restoration of the
Spokane Ruth Organ, Scott was instrumental in helping me raise funds as
well as advising me and helping me research the organ.  Once repaired,
Scott also tuned it so that even a novice like me could hear what a
beautiful sound it really has.

The Missoula Stinson Organ was Scott's baby, and one he was very
proud of.  He had just completed the yearly maintenance on the organ.
During the recent National Carousel Association Technical Conference
hosted by A Carousel for Missoula, Scott presented the organ to the
group like a conductor presents his orchestra.  It indeed was a sight
and sound to behold.

No official memorial fund has been set up, but I personally will
contribute to the Carousel for Missoula Band Organ fund in memory
