Keyscale Conversions
By Tom Grace

HI ALL-
I started a strain a few months ago about the Wurlitzer Caliola and how
it might be tubed. I would like to here some more on this from those
of you that own machines. The question is this: The Caliola has only
44 pipes, but has a playing scale of 65 notes, so did they couple
octaves at the ends?

Also anyone that might have information on how the 165 Band organ
conversions were done over to Caliola rolls at the factory. How did
they break up the ranks within the 65 note scale ?

Thanks again,
Thomas Grace
