Having just returned from a week away I have been catching up on my news.
Mentioned in MMD 990616 from Roger Waring:

Copydex is used by Kimber-Allen, here in the UK, for gluing felt
and leather to fibreboard discs for use in the church organ industry.
I had found that using any water-based glue for this tends to cause
the fibreboard to warp, making it useless for seating on flat surfaces.
Their products have been used reliably in church organs here and abroad
for many years so it is presumably very long-lasting.

I have used Copydex for a some time and can vouch for is suitability on
disc valves.  However, as it is basically a rubber-solution any excess
beyond the material glued must be cut off with a sharp knife rather
than merely pulled off, as the latter exercise will result in pulling
the glue from the joint in its entirety.
