Hello,  Radio Shack still lists a 5-digit decimal counter on page 179
of their 1999 catalog. Complete with LCD display, it runs on a single
AA cell.  The catalog number is RSU 10524528 for $16.99, with
electrical reset.

I am using the same unit for several years as counter on a rain gauge,
but the old number was Archer 277-0302. Photo in catalog looks
identical.  They also list a 6-digit electromechanical counter with
manual reset for $19.99 just below.
