"Digital Music" Plays Self-Punched Paper Strips
By Craig Smith

Hi; If she still has them, you can get one of these little mechanisms
from our good friend Nancy Fratti. I think I paid about $50 for it at
the last meeting. It is now situated in a very nice miniature barrel
organ replica that I made for my wife as a Christmas present. Sounds
very good as well.

I also have a small, paper strip music box similar to those mentioned
recently in MMD. It too is from the 1950's or 60's and runs on 3
cells. The name on it is "Digital Music". Isn't that a hoot!

I got it out and tried the strips in my new paper strip box from Nancy.
Guess what? They play just fine. And the arrangements are pretty good
too. I must have 25 strips for that one. They included a few blank
strips too. But the one from Nancy had a punch included in the
purchase price.
