The time has come to ask the MMD readers: Are you really interested
in the postings in MMDigest about items at eBay auction?

I suspect that the folks who are interested in buying at the auction
are already glued to their monitors, and therefore a mention in MMD
is providing no service to them.

I feel that MMDigest is being used as a secondary advertising site
without receiving compensating news in return.  Since January 1999
there have been more than 50 articles in MMD about eBay, but only one
article tells the final price, which _is_ newsworthy.

Is eBay activity of general interest to MMDers?  Why?  Who has
bought something at eBay as the result of mention in MMDigest?
