Hot Glue Pot "Meltdown"
By Craig Brougher

To prevent your Hold-Heet gluepot from getting pitted, don't use the
aluminum basket that comes with it. The old pots used copper. But today, a
Vlassic Dill Pickle jar is just right. Cover the jar with a plastic lid,
about the same size as used for a can of tennis balls, or the little
individual serving cups for yogurt. This gives you a glass edge to scrape
brushes on, it holds the moisture in the pot better, too. And if you will
then drop in some Styrofoam peanuts, you will find that it supports the
brush from falling down into the bottom of the jar as well as prevents
evaporation.
