Regina Style 13 Single Comb Player
By Jim Quashnock

I have what is supposed to be a Regina Style 13 single comb player that
uses the 15-1/2" disc. However, after carefully looking at it, I'm not
too sure.

It does have the Regina list of songs on the lid. But the bedplate and
serial numbers do not match up with what is listed in Bowers. It has a
long bedplate but no Regina name on it. The plate is not smooth, but
finely ribbed. The only number I can find is on the spindle and it is
1927. This is much lower than the starting serial number of 4001 that
Bowers lists. I have not pulled the box apart yet -- any ideas?
Anyplace else I can look?

I'd really like to know what I have. I purchased it from a well-known
collector who advertised it as a Regina, so I am guessing he knows what
he is talking about. Help!
