Besides not being about mechanical music, this is a dead issue in the
UK.  PGW was taken to task immediately after the war for his activities
in Germany and he left for the USA.  Gradually, over the years, opinion
cooled and it became more obvious that he had just been foolish -- as
was the Duke of Windsor in much the same way.  Eventually Wodehouse was
knighted for his historic contribution to English internationally.

The only new facts that have emerged are the actual expenses the Nazis
paid.  These change nothing.  PGW was obviously their guest in Germany
and it would be natural they would pay for everything.  Most of us pay
for our guests !
