Piano Roll Artist Victor Arden
By Damon Atchison

As I've said before, a student in my school is named Victor Arden.
He's in the school play with me and I brought in the QRS roll of
"Bye Bye Blackbird", played by Victor Arden, so show him.

I said, "Victor, I have something to show you." He looked at the box
and I told him to read the label. He mumbled out the title under his
breath and paused and said, "Woah!" Then I showed him his autograph.
He found this all to be very interesting and "weird".

Later on, I was playing a piano in the band room and some students were
looking at the box and when they saw Victor's name they thought it was
"creepy". When I explained what the piano roll was, a guy wanted me to
put it in the modern Yamaha console and make it play by itself as I had
described, so he could see it work.

I don't think he knows what a player piano is. :-)
