I would like to remind everybody of some great sources for recordings,
in case you aren't aware of them.  Most of these are not in the links
section of the MMD web site (yet).

Terry Hathaway _is_ in the MMD links and if you haven't checked out his
web site lately, he has some great new CDs available.  The quality of
his web site speaks for itself.

With all the talk in the past couple of months about Paul Eakins'
Gay 90s Village, I don't think everyone knows that you can still buy
recordings from them.  I just spoke with Laura Eakins and she still has
the tape business going.  They have quite a few tapes available of band
organs and calliopes.  There is also a new CD of the Wurlitzer Caliola.

Some of the best quality recordings have come from Thomas Grace.
He recorded CDs of the Welte Styles 5 and 6 Orchestrions with the
permission of Durward Center.  He has recorded some of the best
orchestrions and band organs in the country.  They are all carefully
recorded in digital format, so the cassette tapes are the next best
thing to being there.  His e-mail address is on the MMD web site.

The Organ Literature Foundation has countless recordings and they are
still selling some of the old Audio Fidelity records from Paul Eakins'
collection.  This is probably the last place you will find these in new
condition.

I'm sure most of you already know about these, but I feel it's worth
repeating.  I believe someone who is interested can learn a lot from
recordings, even though it's not quite the same as being there.
