Farrand Cecilian Player Piano
By Gary Rasmussen

I used to rebuild old players, and I still have several around,
including a Farrand Cecilian that, from your description, may be
similar to yours. The piano itself is probably one of the best ones
I have. I believe this brand is considered to be a very good, top of
the line, brand.

The reason mine never got rebuilt was because of the pot metal player
action. Years ago, I disassembled the action and tried to start
rebuilding the valves. I couldn't get the "tabs" holding the valves
apart without breaking them.

At the time, I had much easier player mechanisms to rebuild so it was
put aside. All of the player action pieces are in a box somewhere, and
the piano is in a friend's living room. If you find out a good way to
rebuild this player mechanism, I would appreciate knowing about it.
