Titles of Aeolian 116-note Organ Rolls
By Bob Taylor

Kevin, The rolls listed by number that you published in the MMD do
seem to be elusive. I am pleased to report that within the 1st series,
I have three rolls. They are:

51610 IL Trovatore Miserere by Verdi, Small box marked 6-19
51644 Concerto Op. 54 A Minor 1st Mov- Allegro Affettuoso
(Orchestra Parts only) Schumann, Large box marked E-70
51693 Die Wacht Am Rhein Five Verses Wilhelm, Small box marked A

Since my rolls are shelved by number, it is easy to check a number list
such as yours. Conversely, since my computer data base is incomplete
at this point, it is a horrible task to find if I have other movements
of the Schumann Concerto that would be companions to 51644!

On the other hand, my data base of Duo-Art organ rolls is complete and
I can search for any feature and listing. For example, Archer Gibson
recorded only one roll where he used both Harp and Chimes, but he
recorded 15 rolls using the Harp only.

A quest of mine is to find if the 8 roll set 51170A-H actually exists
in one box. I have the rolls all separately boxed. I do have the two
roll box of 1068, Death and Transfiguration.

Let me know if I can help in further searches.

Bob Taylor
