I have put some pictures of the UK "Golden Tube" system of rolls on my
web site.  It was a brand sold without spools!  The spool had a detatch-
able end.  You bought one spool and used it for all your rolls.  To see

Go down to "Roll Label Pictures" on the left menu bar and scroll down
'til you get to the label for the "Patent Tubular Roll" (5th-down from
the top).  Click on the link in the text to go to the separate page for
this brand and see the spool assembly, detachable flange and the roll
core with it's spool locating rod.
