Wurlitzer Caliola & Style 165 Music Rolls
By Tom Grace

Hi there MMDrs -- I am again asking for some help, this time about the
Wurlitzer Caliola. I would like to know how the Caliolas were tubed.

The Caliola roll is 65 notes chromatic, but the Caliola organ only had
44 pipes. So where does the first low note start on the tracker bar?
Did they couple the octaves top and bottom, as was in practice in some
other orchestrions?

My ultimate goal is to understand how band organs, made originally to
play the Style 165 roll, were converted by Wurlitzer to play 65-note
APP and Caliola rolls. Thanks again for all your help.
