FS: Weston [Landay] Player Piano - Free
By Tom Vogler, forwarded

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

I have an old Weston player piano (circa 1916), given to me by a friend
in hopes that I could have it restored. We had a piano restorer in to
look at it and he told us that the sound board was shot and hence the
piano was beyond repair. Before we send this to a dump, we'd like to
know where we could offer it (and the old piano rolls that came with
it) to someone free of charge for parts.

The name "Weston" is on the key cover, smack dab in the middle, and on
the key cover to the right is the name "Landay Bros." I don't see any
makers name inside the piano, just a number at the top near the tuning
pins: 102670 It has a plain case.

I saw the PP&MME advertising section, but it's not worth it to me to pay
money to give this away for free, and since my neighbor is a junkman,
I can dump it for virtually nothing. I just think it would be a shame
to throw it away if someone could use some of the mechanisms, which
seem to be in fair condition.

Thank you for your response. My wife and I love antiques and hate to
just junk this if someone could make any use of it. We're in central
New Jersey, near Plainfield.

Thanks for your time.
