Booklet "How to Build a Simple Mechanical Organ"
By John Kleinbauer

Hi All, I just finished the new booklet! The booklet is 63 pages with
over 100 drawings. The booklet is, "How to Build a Simple Mechanical
Organ". This new booklet replaces the old "Building a Barrel Organ".

The new design can be built in three weekends. The organ is built
using 1/4" PVC or Lexan plastic. I built the organ using standard home
shop tools. The sound still comes from harmonica reed plates and I am
still using canvas for the bellows. The new bellows use cardboard
stiffeners instead of paint on one side.

The organ drum is made from a 4" piece of PVC pipe. It is pinned with
staples. The new design is the size of a small cat sitting: 10" x 10"
x 12". Since it is the size of a cat and it sounds like a harmonica, I
named it Harmonicat!

This small monkey type crank organ is the perfect winter project. The
booklet is a step by step guide. There is a drawing for each part,
subassembly drawing and assembly drawings. This project cost between
$50 and $100 to build. For more info please stop by my web site at:
