Children and Mechanical Music
By Andy LaTorre

To follow up Bob Conant's comments on children and the fairground
organ: Whenever I brought my MIDI-controlled fairground organ to a
local festival, I always loved to watch the awe and joy it imparted
to the little ones.

While I stood back, out of the way, the children would look all around
the organ trying to figure out how it worked. Some braver child would
then climb up on the trailer floor and dance to the "new" music,
emanating pure delight from every pore. Of course, the cranking monkey
also attracted the children and their parents.

I am enclosing a photo of an unknown child enjoying the music of the
organ.
