For cross country moves we use Schafer Bros. Piano Moving at
1-800-222-2888.  Talk to Jim Schafer and mention Shreveport Music Co.
as your source.  They may give you a break.  They have moved quite a
few nickelodeons around for us this year without any problems.

The only incident we had concerned a Wurlitzer CX that the owner
insisted they move on its side.  No damage was done to the instrument.
Apparently the original owner did not realize the top portion comes off
so you can move it through a standard doorway.  It was not the movers
fault.  It arrived upright in the Schafer truck and played fine.

It was this instrument that prompted me to start the APP roll recutting
project that is still in the works awaiting the Malones attention.
I also realized it would be nice to have some extra roll chucks for the
APP changer and the machine shop is still working on those.  They should
be ready in about two more weeks should anyone need a set.
