Paul Murphy in 000511 MMDigest was asking about Angelus 65-note rolls.
The rolls he describes are indeed specifically for Angelus players.

There is no adapter available to play these on a 65/88 note Aeolian
player as the pin ends are on the opposite end (Angelus players for
these rolls have the roll motor always on the left of the spoolbox
instead of the usual right).

I have an Angelus player which plays these 65-note rolls and also has
an adapter to play the 58-note organ rolls.  Standard rolls won't fit
into the spoolbox unless you do some spool and pin modifications (see
the article on my web site).

The Angelus players can in a wide range.  Early push-ups came as a piano
player (58 & 65-note) and a piano player with keyboardless reed organ
inside (known as the "Orchestral Angelus").  I have the internal version
player piano (65- & 58-note) which was the last of this type to use the
reverse Angelus system.

From 1907 onwards the stack was changed to the positive version whereby
the pneumatic pouches collapse under suction to play the note.  This
change coincided with the addition of the Melodant themeing system
using the same snakebite perforations on the roll as Themodist rolls
do.  There was also an Angelus player made which plays standard 65 & 88
note rolls and the Angelus ones too with a dual tracker bar and a
take-up spool that is removable so that you can slot it into the drive
above the tracker bar to play the Angelus rolls which play from bottom
to top.
