Purchased Supplies Not Received
By Dave Smith

Hi All, Seeking advice here. I purchased some player parts several
months ago from an acquaintance made through the Internet. These parts
are for a restoration job that we have committed.

Our customer is at the end of his rope as the parts we purchased were
supposed to be here by the end of January and still have not shown up.
I have run out of excuses trying to cover the fact that the parts are
still not here. I have made repeated contact with the party that I
purchased the parts from and have received many promises but still no
parts.

I do not want to lose this restoration job that hinges on the delivery
of the needed parts. Before I take any legal action, I wondered if
any of you have experienced anything similar and how you resolved it.
I am familiar with contract law and should we ultimately lose the
restoration job I will probably seek compensation from the party that
did not furnish what he was paid for.

I know this sounds unfriendly and not within the spirit of how 99% of
dealings in mechanical music items seem to go, but, what would you do?

Thanks!

Dave Smith
