Devtronix Sold To Classical Organs, Inc., AZ
By Cornelius de Kam

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hi Jody, Thought I'd drop you a line to say that, before Ray DeVault
died, he sold the business to his old time friend Mark Voorhees of
Classical Organs. It seems that Mark was in on the beginning of the
Devtronix MIDI cards, and for Ray he was the logical choice.

Ted Beimess is still retained as independent software contractor.
Hope this helps for your MMD members.

[ From his shop in Sacramento, California, Ray DeVault supplied
[ electronic circuit boards and kits for semi-custom electronic
[ organ construction, and Devtronix was perhaps the first firm
[ to offer MIDI interface equipment separately from a complete
[ organ system. Ted Beimess, who created the software for the
[ MIDI devices, was very helpful and accommodating when they were
[ applied to mechanical music instruments. It's nice to know
[ that Ted and the Devtronix products are still around.
