DOS Program Changes MIDI Note Numbers
By Craig Johnson

In response to the second problem outlined in Craig Smith's post
in 00.11.06 MMD, 'Recording And Processing Organ Data with Cakewalk',
namely software that would change MIDI note values based on a
conversion table, I have a recommendation.

I have been using a little DOS program from Guenter Nagler called
'midirepl.' It allows you to create a replacement table to change
one note to another. See http://www2.iicm.edu/Cpub/

I have been using this in conjunction with Cakewalk to prepare MIDI
files for punching with my Bob Essex MIDster punch. There are
a number of useful freeware utilities available at his site. It is
worth a look. See http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures/cjohnson1.html
