Duo-Art Reproducing Piano Service Manual
By John A. Tuttle

Reference Materials

Hi All, Nigel Perry writes, "Are there no extracts or re-prints
available?"

Player-Care has the following reference materials at

  http://www.buysecure.com/playercare/reprints.html :

- Duo-Art Reproducing Piano Service Manual:
A reprint of the 48-page 1927 manual on servicing the Duo-Art
reproducing mechanism. Contains illustrations and tubing schematics.
This manual covers most of the devices found in the Aeolian Pianola and
Themodist, which are less complex versions of the Duo-Art Reproducing
system. However, it does not contain information about the foot-pumps.

- Duo-Art Reproducing Piano (Collection):
The collection of all the Duo-Art reproducing piano reprints, spiral
bound. Contains the 1927 Service Manual for both upright and grand
models with four rectangular holes above the note holes on the right
and left ends of the tracker bar, the Grand Tubing Chart, and much
more. A must for every Duo-Art reproducing piano owner.

- Duo-Art, Supplement to 1927 Service Manual:
Covers the combination foot-impelled and electric Duo-Art expression box.

You may also be able to get copies of 'Rebuilding the Duo-Art
Reproducing Piano Mechanism', Vestal Press Technical Series No. 5,
from Mike Kitner, written in 1975.

Atr Reblitz also covers the Duo-Art mechanism in his book, "Player
Piano Servicing & Rebuilding".

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
