I don't know about the <egroups.fr> address, but all English-language
Egroups mail-lists can be joined simply by using email.

You send a message which has nothing (or a single space) in the
"subject" and text areas to (in this case):

  <mailto:musiquemecanique-subscribe@egroups.com>
