I know that this is off topic, so if it ends up on the MMD cutting room
floor I only have myself to blame.  Anyway, the BBC Online web site
currently contains a 'Virtual Theremin', which can be found at:

An animated 'thereminist' is included as part of the package, and the
simulation is an absolute hoot!  There are also pages giving the
history of the instrument and information on how the real thing works,
etc.
