Seek Welte-Mignon Action for Steinway Player
By Phil Knighton

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

I recently acquired a Welte-Mignon Steinway piano as a piano to play
which is missing the reproducer "internals" entirely. I know very
little about these and thought it might be fun to look for the unit,
restore it, and put it into service.

I started trolling for info on the Internet and found your name and
email address. Seems they were quite a good machine. Seems like my
chances are low of finding one. But to start a futile quest, one needs
information. My piano is serial no. 140990, which the Steinway chart
indicates is a 1910 manufacture date.

I need to find pictures and specifications for the reproducer works
so I can determine which one fits the unit, in case I get lucky. How
can I get this information?

Thanks for your help. Know of any units for sale?
