Western Player Action Co. of Chicago
By Claude Oesterreicher

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Dear Mr. Tuttle:

My name is Claude Oesterreicher and I live in Illinois near Chicago.
I've been told by a relative (now passed) that my grandfather, Peter
Oesterreicher, had manufactured player pianos in Chicago.

Allegedly, he had a patent on a certain action. If memory serves, the
name of his company was either "Western Action Player Co." or "Western
Player Action Co.". I'm (unfortunately) not very knowledgeable about
players, nor do I play. However, I'd be _very_ interested in finding
out if, indeed, my grandfather was involved as reported and if any of
his actions and/or pianos yet exist.

My apologies for bothering you with this inquiry, but I've searched
most of the sites I can find, including many of your suggested links.
Frankly, I'm becoming somewhat discouraged. Can you possibly help?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Claude Oesterreicher
