QRS Pianomation
By Dan Armstrong

Having done both (I install QRS Pianomation systems and show one on a
regular basis at county fairs), I don't think the solenoid systems are
being given enough credit.

I have a Pianomation installed in and playing a 1925 former Gulbransen
upright player piano 10 hours a day for a week at the fairs. I play
full volume for the last hour every night. I've played it full volume
in my shop all day long during Pine River's Summerfest event, and I
haven't fried a solenoid or driver board yet. Maybe some systems will,
but I haven't found that problem with Pianomation yet.

I also like the pneumatic systems. I've rebuilt a great number of them
and will most likely rebuild a lot more.

Well, that's my two cents.
