Timing Problems With Percussion Beaters
By Jim Welty

I have read with interest the recent articles concerning percussion
beaters by Jack Conway and others. When playing any 165 rolls marked
"Transcribed from B.A.B. Roll No. 404" (or 486, 376, 353), it is necessary
to further advance the bass drum beater to make things sound right.

Is this just a function of the 165 Stinson organ, or do the Wurlitzer
organs have this problem also?

Thanks, Jim Welty

[ See the MMD Archives for "B.A.B. to Wurlitzer 165 Roll Conversion"
[ Some articles mention problems converting the percussion channels.
