"All In The Family" Theme Music
By Larry Norman

Back in the early 1970's, while attending college in Hollywood, I had
the great pleasure of attending the very first rehearsal and taping
of "All In The Family." It was a very enjoyable evening and it was
a fun show.

At the end producer Norman Lear came up before us and asked if we
thought that the show had a chance with an American audience. We all
enthusiastically said that "it would be a hit show". Even my mother,
who was in her 70's at the time, also enjoyed the show and said she
liked it also.

I remember them sliding up the spinet piano in front of the Bunkers
and since I was not into player pianos at the time, I don't remember
if it was a player piano or not.

To answer your question: Yes, both the opening and closing numbers
are on player piano rolls. The opening theme, "Those Were The Days",
is on QRS roll number 10467, and you can also get the composer,
C. Strouse playing it on CEL176-A. The closing theme, "Remembering
You", is also on QRS 10476 and they are still available in the current
QRS roll catalog.

Enjoy them. I certainly do.

Musically yours
Larry Norman
