Andy, It's not too difficult to remove an application from a Mac.
Cleaning out the extensions is a little tougher, but not usually
necessary; once the application's gone, the extensions just become
dormant.  Since RealPlayer doesn't use extensions, it's an easy one.

If you've left things in their default locations, you'll probably have
a folder on your hard drive named "Internet".  In this you'll find a
folder named "Internet Applications".  RealPlayer will have installed
itself here, in a folder called "Real Player".  Drag this folder off
to the trash, and you've done the deed.

If you can't easily find the Real Player folder, call up "Sherlock"
under the apple menu and use it to search for the folder.  This should
tell you where it's hiding.

There are several files in the Preferences folder, inside the System
Folder, that relate to RealPlayer.  All start with the word Real.
You can trash them if you like, but they're small and now dormant.
I probably wouldn't bother.

Any aliases (shortcuts) that say Real Player on them now lead to dead
ends, so you can trash them as well.
