This is easily accomplished if you have the Creative Sound Blaster
sound card. You need three pieces of software running simultaneously:
(1) the Windows Media Player playing the MIDI file, (2) the Creative
Sound Blaster mixer program with the recorder setting set to MIDI, and
(3) the Creative Wave Studio program recording to WAV file.
