"SOFI Spirit of Independence" Orchestrion Site
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, For the past week or so, Craig Brougher and I have been
working on a new web page devoted to SOFI, the Spirit of Independence
orchestrion.

The new page is quite entertaining and very informative, and covers
the philosophy behind SOFI, the mechanical side of SOFI, and how
arrangements are made. It also lists all of the tunes that are now
available on five digitally mastered CDs. The fidelity, balance and
expression of the music in the CDs is truly excellent. The web page is
located at http://www.player-care.com/cb/sofi-cds/the-sofi-page.html

For your enjoyment while viewing the page, we've also installed a few
sample MP3 files. However, none of the samples are contained in any of
the CDs.

The web page is rather long (39 kb), and there are eleven graphics that
show the various features that make SOFI such an outstanding American
orchestrion. The page takes about two minutes to download, and every
image is hyperlinked to a full-size photo which really shows each part
in great detail.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
