7/32" Player Piano Tubing at Schaff Piano Supply
By Craig Brougher

To Al Pebworth and all who are worrying about the quality of
7/32nd-inch tubing from Schaff:

Dave assured me that he was buying it from his present supplier and
expects the same quality as his 5/32nd-inch tubing. I reinforced to
him how wonderful his tubing is, and not to change a thing when he
orders the 7/32nd.

It is far too early yet to be receiving 7/32nd tubing from his
supplier, as they first have to tool up to make it. They don't
normally make that size. So I suspect what Dave ordered was some PPCo
7/32nd to see what it was like, first. It could also be that he called
Durrell to see if maybe he could sell Durrell some of his first run,
and Durrell may have said that he already sells a lot of it and doesn't
need any more, and then sent him some of his 7/32nd. Merchants do
that. I complained to Dave that it slid off the nipples, and that it
kinked off, even in a tubing bundle after awhile. He knows everything
about it, and was probably just checking me out.

Let's not worry about the tubing quality yet. Dave already knows what
we don't like, and what we do like. Now let's just wait and see what
we get.
