Carousel Sounds for Miniature Carousel Horses

Mr. Geddis,  If you want carousel sounds, stay away from calliope
music!  That is not carousel music at all, but ballyhoo music for the
circus.  What you want is band organ music.  There is plenty of that
available from Carrousel Music, Chambersburg, PA, and others.  See

Your problem will be -- as your question to the 020418 MMD indicates
you already know -- how to miniaturize the tape player.  I can envision
transferring the band organ (NOT calliope) music of your choosing from
a CD or a standard cassette to a miniature cassette of the type used in
telephone answering machines.  But I don't know how small the playback
units for those miniature cassettes can be.  Perhaps one of the two
miniature carousel builder organizations (Patrick Wentzel's or Jerry
Diefenderfer's) have already encountered this problem and solved it.
If you are not a member of either, I suggest you contact them for help.

A company that sells spy and surveillance equipment (check online using
a good search engine like Google (http://www.google.com) -- not one of
the popular but inferior ones like Lycos or MSN's) may stock a
miniaturized cassette player that you could use.
