Fairground Organ "Trudy" by David Wasson
By Mike Knudsen

Fans of band organs and fairground organs know of David Wasson's
incomparable fairground organ named "Trudy", designed and built from
scratch by David, who also arranges and punches his own paper rolls
for his organ.

David has just finished rebuilding Trudy completely with new chest
work and some new ranks; well, not quite finished -- the orchestra
bells are yet to be reinstalled.

Anyway, David has sent me MP3 recordings of two tunes that are now on
my web site: http://members.aol.com/knudsenmj/myhomepage/index.html
You can find both tunes easily from the home page.

One tune is my own composition, "St. George's March", with extra
countermelodies by David. The other, "City of Ships," is my
arrangement of a civic booster jingle for the town of Bath, Maine.
Of course the orchestrations of both tunes are by David.

I have a couple other Trudy tunes that I may also post a little later.
Meanwhile, enjoy this special treat.

Mike Knudsen
