A major update of the AMICA web site will, if all goes well, go live
by the end of this month.  In the first phase of this update, we will
be posting many pages of introductory material on mechanical musical
instruments.  To complete these pages, I am in great need of a few
images (about 20 total) that I have not been able to collect in my
neighborhood.  Specifically, I am at a loss for images of organs large
to small - anything from a carousel or band organ to an organette, an
orchestrion with some stained glass ornamentation and any mechanical
musical instruments other than keyboard instruments - Violano, harp,
Play-A-Sax, you name it.

If you would be willing to have a picture of your instrument on the
site, or if you could help photograph any instrument on my "most
wanted" list, would you please drop me an e-mail at

There is no need to send images yet, I need only a few, and I can send
a note describing what is needed before you invest any time.  We will
use images only where the instrument owner and the photographer give
permission to do so, and will gladly credit the source or keep you
anonymous, whichever you prefer.
