How To Make A Musical Box
By Del Lohuis

The procedure Charlie Hind used in "getting all those pins in the
right place" is detailed in his article "From Music to Cylinder: An
Eight Step Method" in the Spring 1994 issue of The Journal of
Mechanical Music, pages 39 to 42. The article includes a picture of
the exterior of the case which was made from American black walnut.
The outside back cover of the journal has two pictures of the
mechanism of the music box.

A note by the editor of the journal briefly describes the procedures used
by Charlie in making the cylinder and comb.

Back issues of the Journal of Mechanical Music may be obtained in
limited quantities from:

    Ted and Irene Leverett
    3621 Curtland Place, NW
    Concord, NC 28027

at a cost of $3.00 each.
