Seek Source of 58-note Organ Rolls
By Richard Vance

I am looking for anybody who sells recut 58-note Aeolian organ rolls,
or someone who can punch new ones.

There are over 350 known Orchestrelle and Solo Orchestrelle organs,
and many existing 116-note (and some 176-note) Aeolian pipe organs,
which all can play 58-note rolls. Therefore, there is some considerable
demand for these rolls. Since there were very few popular selections
made in the 116- and 176-note formats, even player pipe organ owners
like 58-note rolls, for lighter music

However, in the last few months, the sources for these recuts seem to
have dried up. This is very disappointing for us player organ freaks.

Does anyone know the identity of anybody who can punch these rolls?
The requirements are, briefly: track spacing, 6/inch; punch diameter,
0.105"; width, 10-1/8" with 58 tracks. A-roll or G-roll or Pianola
roll perforators, with 65 tracks on 11-1/4" paper, or Clark-88/H-roll
perforators with 88 tracks on 15-1/4" paper, can be easily adapted to
make them.

I know many collectors who would be glad to lend original rolls for
copying. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
