Matthew Caulfield sent us a nice obituary of organbuilder and composer Robert Heilbuth, which appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle of Friday, June 28, 2002. Chronicle writer Kelly St. John says that Heilbuth "built five organs in his home in the Richmond District, including a baroque tracker action organ, three extensive player organs and a large carousel band organ" and that he composed more than 100 pieces for these instruments.
